Questions families often ask
Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA, is an evidence-based approach that studies how learning and the environment affect behavior. Support is individualized and may focus on communication, daily living, social participation, and other meaningful skills.
Goals begin with assessment, observation, and conversation with the family. They should be specific, useful in daily life, and responsive to the person’s needs and preferences.
Caregivers may share priorities, observe sessions, learn strategies, and practice skills within routines. The exact role is discussed as part of the individual plan.
Home and community-based support may be available when appropriate. Please contact the office to discuss the setting and availability for your family.
